Amy Tara leads the cast of The Turn of the Screw at Arcola Theatre
Amy Tara has been cast as the Governess in The Turn of the Screw, Morgan Lloyd Malcolm's new stage adaptation of Henry James' classic ghost story, presented by Arcola Theatre and Blackeyed Theatre.
Directed by Nicky Allpress, the world premiere runs at Arcola Theatre from 11 September to 10 October 2026, with press night on 18 September, before embarking on a major six-month UK tour. The production follows a young governess who arrives at a remote country house to care for two children, only to find herself caught between supernatural terror and psychological uncertainty.
Amy leads the company, following acclaimed performances in Hamlet at Stafford Gatehouse Theatre and The Borrowers at The Dukes Theatre.
