Estrid Barton lands the role of Oma Muller in Faraway Home
Estrid Barton has been cast as Oma Muller in Faraway Home, produced by Powerscourt Pictures in association with Northern Ireland Screen and DB Films.
Based on the novel by Marilyn Taylor and directed by Terry Loane, the film tells the true story of the Jewish refugee farm at Millisle in Newtownards, Northern Ireland, following two children sent from Nazi-occupied Austria on the Kindertransport. Faraway Home has its World Premiere at the 2026 Galway Film Fleadh.
